Functional Cognitive Disorder: Detailed Recovery Pages

These thirteen pages expand the thirteen original entries one-to-one. This overview is an additional navigation document. [See the original-entry mapping](../../../docs/project/recovery-technique-history-audit.md#functional-cognitive-disorder).

Recovery Techniques › Symptom overview

The separate Everything We Know About FCD page explains the concepts and uncertainties. Page 1 helps turn an assessment into a care plan. These families preserve the original numbering; they are not thirteen independently validated mechanisms. There are thirteen original-entry pages, this navigation overview and one separate background document.

Start with an assessed problem and one useful next step. You do not need to complete a course of all thirteen techniques. Memory aids and human help remain valid during recovery. Reducing unnecessary checking must never mean removing needed information or safety checks.

Foundation and formulation

Attention and cognitive load

Metacognition and monitoring

Meaningful rehabilitation and compensation

Contributors and coexisting conditions

Treatment packages with emerging evidence

The ACT and digital self-help pages describe emerging research options. Feasibility does not establish effectiveness, and practical rehabilitation guidance is not proof of each technique. Every page contains person, supporter, clinician and research sections, safety guidance and its own citations. No community quotations have been added; examples are illustrative.

New confusion or a major change in cognition needs medical assessment. These pages cannot diagnose FCD or replace review of sleep, medicines, neurological disease and other contributors.
