Module 22 — Build Your Personal FND Handbook

A Personal FND Handbook can hold the information that is hardest to remember or explain when symptoms are worse. Build it in small pieces.

In this module

  • choose only information that can change care, safety or support;
  • make a short safety and communication page for urgent situations; and
  • test, protect and update the handbook without turning it into another burden.

Research supports clear written information and individualized planning, but this complete handbook has not been tested as an FND treatment or safety instrument. [1][2]

Pages

  1. Choose What Belongs in the Handbook — collect confirmed information, uncertainty, patterns, needs and goals.
  2. Build a Short Safety and Communication Summary — make the front page usable when time and capacity are limited.
  3. Use, Protect, and Update the Handbook — decide where it lives, who may see it and when it needs review.

Inside each page: Person with FND · Supporters · Clinicians · Research

Every page in this module uses these same four main sections.
